Funding your Envestir wallet with USDC is one of the first things you will do after creating your account, and our card deposit feature makes it as simple as any online purchase. Here is a step-by-step guide to depositing USDC using your debit or credit card.
Start by opening the Envestir app and navigating to the Wallet tab. You will see your current USDC balance along with a Deposit button. Tap Deposit and select the card payment option. You will be prompted to enter the amount you wish to deposit in your local currency. The app will show you the equivalent amount of USDC you will receive after conversion fees.
Next, enter your card details. Envestir supports major debit and credit cards including Visa and Mastercard. Your card information is processed securely through our payment partner and is never stored on our servers. Once you have entered your card number, expiration date, and CVV, review the transaction summary showing the deposit amount, conversion rate, and the USDC you will receive.
After you confirm the deposit, the transaction is processed in real time. Most deposits are completed within one to three minutes. The USDC will appear in your Envestir wallet balance as soon as the payment is confirmed. You will receive a notification in the app confirming the successful deposit along with a transaction receipt.
There are a few things to keep in mind when depositing via card. Some card issuers may treat crypto-related purchases as cash advances, which can incur additional fees from your bank. We recommend checking with your card issuer if you are unsure. There may also be daily and monthly deposit limits, which are shown in the deposit flow. If you need to make larger deposits, you can also send USDC directly from another wallet or exchange to your Envestir wallet address.
